Robert (Rob) J. Kerian - Geophysicist, Founder Rob founded Avocet in 2004, and has over 25 years experience in oil and gas exploration.  Most recently, he served as Vice President of Exploration at Wiser Oil Company, which was publicly traded company (NYSE), located in Dallas, Texas (Wiser was acquired by Forest Oil Corporation in June of 2004).  Previously, he served as US Exploration Manager at Wiser; he joined the company in November, 1996.  Prior to Wiser Oil Company, Rob held various staff and supervisory positions as an exploration geophysicist at Enserch Exploration, Inc. (EEX Corp) from 1984 to 1996, and at Gulf Oil Corporation (Chevron) from 1979 to 1984. He holds degrees in Geology and Geological Engineering from the University of North Dakota and is a Registered Professional Geophysicist and Geologist.   William (Bill) M. Whaling –  Geologist Bill has over 30 years of experience as a development and exploration geologist, and is Registered Professional Geoscientist (PG 5058) in Texas, and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (28632-9).  He has successfully explored in many North American basins, and is an expert in the exploration of the Gulf Coast salt basins, and the carbonate stratigraphy of the Rocky Mountain basins. In addition to his exploration experience, Mr. Whaling has also lead teams in the evaluation and redevelopment of producing fields, and exploration within mature areas.  Mr. Whaling started his career with Gulf States Energy in 1975 after receiving a BS Geology from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas.  After leaving Gulf States he served as a development and exploration geologist for Rawhide Corp., and Anpat Petroleum, Inc. before starting an independent exploration company.              Robert  (Bob) Webster- Geologist A accomplished registered geologist (PG 5979)  with extensive domestic and international experience, especially in most South American basins, but also experienced in certain Middle East and African plays.   Bob has the proven ability to provide hands-on support and oversight of all geological aspects of exploration and development projects, including;  Initial play concept development, regional studies, basin analysis, contract negotiations, geologic field work, design and supervision of geophysical and geochemical programs, prospect interpretation and mapping, farm-out and partner negotiations, geologic supervision of exploration and development wells, and project shutdown.  He holds degrees in geology from the Universities of Texas and Colorado, and has over 30 years of experience in oil and gas exploration.     Robert (Bob) L. Foote  – Geophysicist Bob Foote has a broad exploration background with over 25 years of seismic interpretation experience in the United States, North Africa, and the Middle East. He is a Licensed Geophysicist by the State of Texas (PG 1849) and holds Bachelor of Science Geophysics for the University of Texas Dallas (1978).  Over the past five (5) years he has worked closely with several companies providing geophysical services in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, and has also consulted on various oilfield redevelopment projects in Morocco, India, Pakistan, Syria, and Egypt.  Prior to this Bob was Director of Geophysical Operations for IPR Inc, Dallas from 1998-2000.  In this capacity he directed all geophysical activities, and provided seismic interpretation of properties in Egypt and offshore in the Mediterranean. Before IPR he worked as an exploration geophysicist for other Dallas based companies including; Rand-Paulson Inc, Dallas, Texas as Chief Geophysicist, Bass Enterprises as an Exploration Geophysicist, and PetroTech Corp as their Chief Geophysicist. He also worked for Geophysical Services Corp as a seismic processor early in his career.
